Make sure they are the same if you can’t see them look at the number of stars or dots. Look at the mail server settings boxes for password and port settings they’re the ones you need to delete and reapply. Doing a send and receive manually or waiting on the scheduled send and receive on the client does not update new mail items.

To set up a mail account, we can set the same standard name "mail.mydomain.com" as the incoming and outgoing mail server. I was a little hesitant but went ahead and let it completely remove all the synced items from the account off of my iPhone.

Creating a new OST file clears up a host of weird problems with Outlook. This also caused some issues as outlook did not know where to store deleted or sent items and through up several errors. What about changing the root folder path, in account settings, to "Inbox". It seems to do the send and flush DNS and re-sync Outlook receive and get new mail when in offline mode, but not when online.

I don't see - 'When getting new messages... I checked all 5 of the tabs in this window that expressions is not there. This seems bizarre the email would not populate. The uploading of the old messages to the new account is what caused the problem. I will try the safe starts and experiment with the buttons ans see if it improves.

My accounts in Mail app stopped to sync post update

See the attached picture for the Properties window for a user-created folder. When you right-click one of the folders that doesn't show new mail unless you select it, Properties, is the box 'When getting new messages... It's usually not checked by default for IMAP to minimize network traffic. Subscribing to a folder makes it appear in the Folder Pane, but one might not always want a folder to be synced automatically if it is mainly an archive folder or one that seldom receives new mail. This limits the amount of network traffic and improves performance for syncing important folders. But many users run into the problem where their important fix Outlook after Windows update issues IMAP folders are not syncing or stop updating.

Delete Confirmation

It will synchronize deleted items if I delete an item from my phone, but it just wont receive new ones. IMAP accounts should update automatically on send/receive. Otherwise why even have the ability to auto-sync? If I need to click on each folder to force the sync/download from server then auto sync serves no purpose. When you are accessing Gmail via the web application everything is hosted on Google's cloud servers.

Hence, the trashing of messages is registering on Gmail. It's just that the contents seem completely disconnected from what I see using webmail. All messages that were trashed in Outlook still appear in All Mail when accessed using webmail, even days later. From what I’m reading, this doesn’t actually appear to be an issue with receiving email, it’s an Outlook screen refresh issue, or possibly (although less likely) an issue with notification settings. If you can go to another folder then right back to Inbox and suddenly see 100 new messages, they were there all along, they didn’t just magically appear in that second it took to switch back and forth. Try attacking it from that angle and see what you find.



Looks like at this point there still is not a fix? I am stumped as it the rest of our team. Paying $6 per month vs our current $1.50 per month is a pretty big increase on a yearly basis. We wouldn’t use many of the features included in office 365 to warrant paying the additional cost. Varatex - Outlook in Safe mode did not seem to help.



Everything works great for the most part, except with our IMAP users. IMAP users are not receiving new email into their inboxes unless they either click off of Inbox and back on, or close outlook and reopen. These are the common reasons why the IMAP folder is not syncing.
